Who doesn’t love a tasty sweet treat? And what makes that sweet treat even better? Alcohol. I can’t believe in 2 years this is my first alcohol blog post I’ve ever done. I am the queen when it come to Jello shots I make them for any occasion I can.

We were going to a friends birthday pool party and I wanted to bring something special that went with the occasion. Since jello shots are so typical of me, I wanted to change it up. That’s where these birthday cake pudding shots came about.

This wasn’t my first time doing pudding shots either. For a Christmas party I had years ago I found a recipe for eggnog pudding shots. They turned out to be a big hit. Only thing I didn’t like was they were just 1 ounce pudding shots.

Mini and cute, but lets be honest 1 ounce is not a shot. That’s why for this recipe I got these Solo 2.0 oz Treated Paper Cups to use. That’s where good ole Amazon came in. Unlike those plastic jello shot cups, you can squeeze the shot out since pudding is pretty solid.

Be sure and let your cool whip whipped cream sit out for a bit to soften up. Otherwise trying to mix frozen cool whip will take some time and use a lot of arm work.

Just add all the ingredients together except the spray whipped cream and sprinkles and mix well. I used half vanilla pudding and white chocolate because I love white chocolate cake. I think the white chocolate adds a nice flavor.

Using a small cookie scoop to transfer the liquid from a big bowl to the cups makes it so much easier. After filling up all the cups cover with some plastic wrap and place in the freezer overnight.

When it’s time to serve put in the refrigerator 30 minutes before serving. Top with spray whipped cream and sprinkles.

  1. In the photo I noticed the vanilla is cook and serve and the white chocolate is instant. Do you need to do half and half of the two types of pudding? The recipient didn’t specify. Thanks!
