This peppermint bark grahams is the perfect Christmas treat. With only 3 ingredients these are simple to make and even easier to eat.
It’s that time of year y’all. Where we forget all diets and start eating all the yummy foods we’ve been dreaming about all year long. I mean how can you not with all the holiday parties and all.
Then we also receive gifts in the form of food. From fruit cake, to fudge, and sausage balls too. And then there’s some of us who are the food givers. We make you a nice little basket of calorie filled treats and send you on your merry way.
I like to mix it up with a little salty and sweet. For the salty I like to make these even better sausage balls, which according to Pinterest are a hit. Nothing says Christmas time like some sausage balls.
I wanted something different this year when it came to sweet. That’s where these peppermint bark grahams came about. Nothing says Christmas more than some chocolate and peppermint.
So I’m not the biggest sweets eater in the world. If you follow my blog you will see I hardly have any recipes with sweet stuff. That’s just because I don’t really ever eat it or crave it so coming up with the recipes for them just don’t flow.
But when it comes to white chocolate I’m a sucker. You see regular chocolate everywhere, which I’m good with passing on, but not when it’s white chocolate. Two totally different worlds when comparing white and regular chocolate.
And so here I am doing a “sweets” recipe using my favorite. I mean it is Christmas time and all and we do things a little out of the norm of everyday life.
First you want to start by unwrapping all the peppermints out of their individual wrappings. Put those in a big plastic bag and then I suggest putting that in another plastic bag. Since the peppermint is hard when you start crushing them they might start to put holes in your bag.
Have your graham crackers unwrapped and break each one in half. Now just pour your white chocolate chips in a bowl and start with a minute and twenty seconds in the microwave. Stir and put back in the microwave for twenty second intervals until your chocolate is complete melted.
Now take your have of graham crackers and put in the bowl of chocolate and with using two forks make sure to get a nice coating of chocolate. Using the two forks pick up the graham crackers and place on some parchment paper. Then sprinkle over some crush peppermint.
Do the same with all the rest of the graham crackers and let it set out for an hour until the chocolate has completely hardened. Then they are ready to go and be packaged up.
Peppermint Bark Grahams
- 1 Sleeve Graham crackers
- 24 Oz Bag of white chocolate chips
- 1 Bag Peppermint candy 16 oz
- Take all peppermint out of individual wrappins and put in a large plastic bag and crush
- Break all graham crackers in half and line a couple baking sheets with parchment paper
- Add white chocolate chips to a bowl and heat for a minute and 20 seconds. Stir and keep heating in 20 second increments then stirring until melted
- Dip a graham crackers half and coat well with chocolate using forks. Then move the graham cracker to baking sheet and sprinkle with crushed peppermint. Repeat with the rest of the graham crackers
- Let the chocolate set for about an hour before serving or wrapping up
